During a candid sit-down on The Howard Stern Show, the 56-year-old singer dropped a bombshell: she’s never actually been truly loved.
When Stern pressed her with the question, “Do you think you’ve truly been loved?” Lopez paused before replying simply, “No.” Then came the real sting:
“It’s not that I’m not lovable — it’s that they’re not capable. They gave me everything they had — the rings, the houses, the marriages — but it wasn’t real love.”
The Self-Love Era
After four divorces and one very public rekindling with Ben Affleck, J.Lo says she finally stopped chasing what others couldn’t give.
“When I got divorced this last time, it was the best thing that ever happened to me,” she said.
She revealed she went all in on healing — therapists, life coaches, even a “religious coach.” Her mission? To figure herself out once and for all.
“I didn’t love myself,” she admitted. “Now I finally do. I know who I am — all the good parts, and the complicated ones.”
“Glimpses” of Love, Never the Whole Thing
Stern asked if she’s ever had that real, deep connection with someone. Lopez sighed and said, “Glimpses.”
Cue collective heartbreak across the studio.
Affleck, who recently reunited with Lopez professionally for Kiss of the Spider Woman, has kept things diplomatic — calling their breakup “normal” and free of scandal.
But Lopez’s confession suggests that behind the perfect press photos and diamond rings, love never really hit home.
