Ariana Grande wrote the breakup anthem of a generation, and the timing just caught up with her. Grande and Ethan Slater have split after nearly three years together.
The “Wicked” co-stars quietly ended things several months ago and have stayed friendly. People corroborated the split, with a source saying the two “gave lots of time and careful consideration and decided to go their separate ways.”
Neither Grande nor Slater has commented publicly, and no representative has issued a statement.
Grande, 32, and Broadway actor Ethan Slater, 34, went public in July 2023, after meeting on the London set of “Wicked” and following Grande’s separation from Dalton Gomez.
The report landed days after Grande reopened “thank u, next” on her “Eternal Sunshine Tour.” At the June 6 opener in Oakland, California, she held up two fingers and dropped a word mid-song, a beat fans clipped and read as a wink at round two. She has not addressed it.
