Brian Littrell apparently thought his private Florida sand came with a license to act feral. The Backstreet Boy has spent the last year in a scorched earth war with beachgoers over where the public sand ends and his ego begins.
But his latest attempt to weaponize the law just backfired in spectacular fashion.
Littrell actually filmed a March 22 confrontation himself and handed the footage to prosecutors. He was hoping to get local beachgoer Kyle Gallagher hit with a battery charge. Prosecutors took one look at the tape and essentially told Brian to take a hike. They declined to press charges and noted that the evidence actually supported Gallagher’s version of events.
The grainy clip flipped the narrative this week. It caught Littrell in a “Don’t you know who I am?” meltdown. While his legal team is in a frantic sprint to deny he used a specific homophobic slur, the audio obtained by TMZ isn’t exactly a win for his PR team. Even if he didn’t drop the f-word as initially reported, he is still on the record using “You want to be gay?” as a bottom shelf insult.
Since settling into his Santa Rosa dream home in 2023, Littrell has been litigating against beachgoers through his company BLB Beach Hut LLC. He filed a writ of mandamus in 2025 to force the local sheriff to clear his view of people he calls hostile protesters. Most people just call them beachgoers.
Littrell said he “can’t wait till this gets out.” Now it’s out, and between the dead battery charge and the leaked footage of him sneering at locals, the internet isn’t exactly singing along to his version of the remix.
