Aubrey Plaza spent years keeping Christopher Abbott off the record. On Sunday at the 2026 Tony Awards, she brought him, a baby bump and a matching outfit to Radio City Music Hall and let everyone look.
The couple made their red carpet debut at the 79th Tony Awards, where Abbott was nominated for best featured actor in a play for Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman.” Plaza wore a sleeveless black dress with vertical white stripes and cradled her bump for photographers.
Abbott lost the category to Alden Ehrenreich, though “Death of a Salesman” still took best revival of a play. Plaza has guarded her personal life for years. People first reported the pregnancy in April, and it is her first child.
Plaza confirmed it herself on the “SmartLess” podcast that month, in the flattest delivery she had. “Well, there’s a baby inside of me,” she said.
The two met on the 2020 film “Black Bear” and later starred in the off-Broadway revival of “Danny and the Deep Blue Sea.” The same night handed Megan Thee Stallion the first female-rapper performance in Tony history and Qween Jean a historic win.
Abbott went home without the Tony.
