Lewis Hamilton has spent two decades handing the cameras a helmet, a podium result and very little else. This week he handed them Kim Kardashian holding the helmet.
The seven-time Formula 1 champion, 41, posted a Monaco Grand Prix carousel to Instagram after finishing second for Ferrari. Among the racing shots sat a Polaroid of Kardashian, 45, in a sheer black top, posing with his helmet in the Monte Carlo paddock.
A racing helmet is about as personal as Formula 1 gear gets, custom-molded and off-limits to almost everyone who is not the driver. Letting someone pose with it reads, to anyone who follows the sport, like a soft confirmation. Hamilton, who has guarded his personal life for years, tucked that admission into a post that was supposed to be about a second-place finish.
On June 1 Kardashian filed Hamilton into her own grid, tucking him among off-duty photos and her kids. Now he has filed her into his. Two people who control their images for a living are taking turns placing each other on the record.
He said the rest out loud after the race. Asked about her presence in the Ferrari garage, Hamilton told reporters, “It’s amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support,” adding that she does that for him “every day.”
The two have known each other for years and were first linked after a New Year’s Eve party at the end of 2025. Monaco was Kardashian’s first grand prix as his guest, and she spent it trackside with sister Khloé Kardashian.
