Ice Spice ordered 25 custom wigs from Thee Bella Brand in 2025. The brand says she still hasn’t paid for them, and now wants $420,000.
The original invoice was $20,000. The lawsuit ballooned after Thee Bella Brand alleged that Ice Spice’s social media posts about the company tanked its business, tacking on $400,000 in damages.
In new court filings, Ice Spice is hitting back. Her team is calling the brand “overly dramatic” and saying the lawsuit is a thirsty grab for “public pressure” to score a payday. Ice Spice isn’t denying the payment dispute. Her argument is that a $400,000 damages claim is a wild escalation from a hair order.
Her lawyers’ core argument is that Thee Bella Brand hasn’t produced any evidence that Ice Spice’s social media posts actually cost the company sales. At most, they say, this is a breach of contract over some wigs, not a “federal case” of professional sabotage.
Thee Bella Brand says Ice Spice trashed them publicly. Her team says the lawsuit is a payday play.
