Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce pulled up courtside for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Cleveland on Saturday night, and ESPN’s broadcast booth spent the next 40-plus seconds on the couple without ever saying Swift’s name.
Mike Breen, calling play-by-play, referred to Swift as “his fiancée.” Color analyst Richard Jefferson called her “his girlfriend,” then said he had been invited to the wedding. Tim Legler, the third voice in the booth, asked who was getting married, per Awful Announcing’s recap of the broadcast.
Per TMZ, Swift slipped Kelce a stick of gum during a timeout. Kelce later stood up courtside, chugged a full beer and waved his Cleveland hat at the crowd. Swift buried her face in her hand and clapped when he was done.
The pair sat courtside at Rocket Arena, the Cavaliers’ home venue and Kelce’s hometown court. Neither was wearing the team-issued playoff t-shirt the Cavaliers have asked every attendee to wear, per Sports Illustrated. The Knicks won 121-108. Cleveland now trails the series 3-0.
